Welcome

"Maendeleo” in Kiswahili means progress. Our name is a symbol for the connection of traditional roots as well as progression. The Diani Maendeleo Academy is a day/boarding private secondary school for girls located in Kwale County at the South Coast in Kenya. The school was built in 2004 and is located in Mwabungo, a small village in Ukunda south of Mombasa. (Here you can find us).

We offer a broad-based, multi-disciplinary education with emphases on languages, sciences, humanities, technical subjects and student-centred teaching/learning within an interactive learning environment that is designed to stimulate the joy of enquiry.

 

Admissions

Admission is open mainly to students in Kwale County. We offer sponsorships to deserving students regardless of race, religion and culture. The school works to ensure that students develop positive attitudes, are self-disciplined, hard-working and confident. In addition, students are moulded to be responsible citizens of their country, the world and prepared to fit into society.
